ISC's deputy chief executive, Simon Nathan, has acknowledged the tough choices facing school leaders amid reports that more staff could strike this summer in response to pay and pension cuts.
Mr Nathan told The Sunday Times that schools have had to make tough decisions in "an incredibly challenging environment", amid rising employer national insurance contributions, the loss of business rates relief, and the imposition of VAT on school fees.
