Scholarships

Eversfield Preparatory School offers academic scholarships for internal and external applicants entering Year 3.

A maximum of four scholarship awards will be offered each academic year, two to internal candidates and two to external candidates. The basis of the awards will be on academic excellence and successful performance in the 7+ examination. The usual percentage of fee remission for a scholarship is a maximum of 20% and is offered on the understanding that the pupil completes the preparatory school course, leaving Eversfield at the end of Year 6. Applicants must be registered as prospective pupils at School. This can be done by completing a registration form and returning it to the Registrar with the registration fee. Parents should contact the Registrar indicating that they wish their child to sit the 7+ scholarship examination.

Scholarship applicants should register by 31st December in the academic year prior to a successful applicant joining School. The 7+ examination will take place during the Lent Term 2020 and parents will be notified of the outcome by letter.

Bursaries

Means-tested bursary applications are welcomed for entry to Years 3 to 6 and are offered as a reduction of standard fees, the amount of which is dependent upon the individual application. Additional support may be offered by way of funding for school trips and the initial purchase of uniform.

Applicants need to complete a bursary application form and a registration form, although the £75 registration fee is not required. Forms must be submitted by 31st December in the academic year prior to a successful applicant joining School. Applications will be initially assessed during a home visit from an independent agency and a shortlist of applicants will then be invited to visit Eversfield during the Lent Term.  Any financial assistance would be reviewed on an annual basis but is unlikely to change unless financial circumstances alter.
