Bursaries
A limited number of bursary awards are available to pupils entering the school at Year 3 who would benefit from the education Banstead Prep School has to offer but who would otherwise be unable to afford a place. Bursary awards are means tested and are awarded at the discretion of the Headteacher and Local Governing Body.
Talent Awards
A small number of Talent Awards may be granted to children entering Year 3 who demonstrate exceptional aptitude and potential in Music, Art, Drama, Sport or Academic ability, or a combination of these disciplines. The awards are provided to enable pupils to pursue their talent by enabling parents to arrange individual tuition, coaching, club membership or educational resources or experiences that facilitate development of their abilities.
Academic awards will be determined by Maths and English tests taken in January of the year of entry. Assessment for other awards is through evidence of previous achievement and evaluation of potential through an audition and/or interview with the head of department.
