Pownall Hall provides for children with SEND. We have a specialist teacher who provides intervention both within class and on a 1-1 basis in a specialist provision.
Throughout the school Pownall provides a range of specialist teaching. In EYFS specialist teaching is provided for modern foreign languages, Science, PE and Music. From F1 upwards the specialist teaching includes the aforementioned subjects but also extends to ICT, Art, D and T and Games. As the children move higher through the school, specialist teaching comes in to play for English, maths, history, geography and Verbal/Non Verbal Reasoning.
A strong House system exists within Pownall where the 4 Houses compete against one another in all aspects of school life. The pupils love their houses and the good natured, spirited competition the House competitions provide.
Pownall competes at the very highest local and national level in sports, music, drama and art.
