The Independent Schools Council (ISC) is a membership association made up of schools within membership of one of the five Heads’ associations. ISC is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, registered with Companies House (registered number 1103760).
This privacy notice is intended to cover blogs submitted to ISC for publication.
What we collect and what we use this data for:
Blog contributions for use in ISC media/communications may include some or all of the following: - Images of school staff or ISC association representatives - Full names of school staff or ISC association representatives - Job titles of school staff or ISC association representatives
Information and images will be used in one or more of the following ISC media and internal/external communication channels. - ISC website - Social media – Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn - On occasion, and with the written agreement of the contributor, a given blog may be sent directly to a member/s of the press, inviting the recipient/s to publish the piece.
Information contained in blogs will be publicly visible on the ISC website. Should a blog be sent to a member of the press, the recipient has editorial freedom to publish the information. Data may also be shared via ISC’s social media channels - Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. Your information will only be shared in the ways outlined in this notice.
ISC is relying on consent to hold this information as you have provided your data for use in an ISC blog. Blogs remain on the ISC website for historical archiving purposes. You can choose to withdraw your consent at any time by emailing press@isc.co.uk or writing to the Independent Schools Council, First Floor 27 Queen Anne’s Gate, London SW1H 9BU.
ISC does not own any of the copyright associated with blogs submitted for publication. Once published, third parties such as a member of the press may decide to reproduce content, attributing comments to the named author of the blog.
