Tax and education experts debate VAT on school fees

ISC CEO Julie Robinson recently took part in a debate organised by the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Institute for Fiscal Studies.
Ms Robinson was a panellist in the discussion that included senior adviser to Ark Schools Sam Freedman, senior research economist at the Institute for Fiscal Studies Stuart Adam, and technical adviser to the Charity Tax Group Kerry Sykes. The panel looked at the reasons for and against taxing independent school fees and the impact of Labour's proposals on the wider education landscape.
