Response to the Conservative Party Manifesto

Barnaby Lenon, Independent Schools Council Chairman, said:

"Already, ISC schools are involved in this work and others with the capacity to do so will be willing to increase support. It is important to remember that ours is a sector of 1,300 mostly small schools with limited capability in this area.

"We believe the greatest benefit can be achieved by working together in a spirit of voluntarism. This is evident in the 10,000 partnerships that already exist between independent and state schools."
