ISC Comments on Safeguarding of Pupils in ISC Schools
This statement comes from the Independent Schools Council, on behalf of all our eight member Associations.
These associations are the Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference, Girls’ Schools Association, the Independent Association of Prep Schools, the Independent Schools Association, the Society of Heads, the Association of Governing Bodies of Independent Schools, the Independent Schools’ Bursars Association and the Council of British International Schools.
“The abuse of children by predatory individuals in schools is deplorable. The safety and welfare of the young people in schools is our first and most important responsibility and we support any measures that will further safeguard children.”
