Appointment of new General Secretary at AGBIS
The Board of AGBIS is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Harman to succeed Stuart Westley as General Secretary from 1st of September 2016.
Richard Harman is currently Headmaster of Uppingham School. Prior to his appointment there in 2006, he was for six years Headmaster of Aldenham School. He is also this year’s Chairman of HMC (Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference).
Richard Green, Chairman of AGBIS, said:
‘Richard brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role of General Secretary of AGBIS and will build on the strong development we have enjoyed under Stuart Westley’s leadership. We look forward to working ever more closely with our colleagues across the independent sector in supporting governing bodies in meeting the many responsibilities which they face.’
