One in six independent secondary school teachers have a subject degree from either Oxford or Cambridge, meaning they are more than three times as likely to have been awarded an Oxbridge degree, compared to nationally.
“There is no evidence for most of Anthony Seldon’s claims. There is huge diversity and innovation happening across the UK independent sector.
There are now 517,113 pupils at ISC schools, more than at any other time. Pupil numbers are now higher than they were before the recession started. They are up from 511,928 in 2014.
A leading headmaster says the Arts are an 'essential part of the fabric of school life', giving pupils a valuable opportunity to express creativity. Arts should not be squeezed out by an ‘overly utilitarian vision of education’.
