'How fitting it would be to found a new university in the late Queen's memory'

Nick Hillman, director of the Higher Education Policy Institute, has suggested a competition should be held to establish a new university in the name of Queen Elizabeth II. By Louisa Clarence-Smith, The Telegraph.

The Telegraph reports Westminster School has temporarily sent pupils home for online lessons, as hundreds of thousands of people are expected to gather in the surrounding area this week to pay their respects to the Queen. By Louisa Clarence-Smith.

According to The Times, teachers and other council workers in Edinburgh will receive an additional day's holiday this year as the Queen's funeral coincides with a local holiday. By Mark McLaughlin.
