The Mount School (York)

York, Yorkshire Area North, YO24 4DD

The Mount is the UK’s only Quaker School for girls. The Mount Junior School welcomes girls aged 2 to 11 and boys aged 2 to 7. The Senior School is a boarding and day school for girls aged 11 to 18. The Mount provides an environment in which pupils are heard, and encouraged to find the strength to speak their minds and challenge injustice when they see it. Girls are allowed to grow up at their own pace, free from pressure to conform to stereotypes.
