Schools Together website
The Independent Schools Council (ISC) is a membership association made up of schools within membership of one of the five Heads’ associations. ISC is a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, registered with Companies House (registered number 1103760).
This privacy notice is intended to cover data provided for use of the Schools Together website.
What we collect and what we use it for When you sign up to the Schools Together website you will provide the following data to us:
- full name
- email address
- school or association
The information that you share with us when you sign up to the Schools Together website will be used to enable you to login to the Schools Together website.
Sharing your data
We will not share your data with others, except where this is required for the purpose of accessing the Schools Together website and for us to check that you are still at the school that entitles you to access Schools Together. Your information will not be used for marketing purposes. From time to time we will email your school with your name in order to confirm you are still employed there. This is simply to enable us to unsubscribe you once you are no longer employed at the relevant school.
Lawful basis under GDPR and retention
ISC is relying on ‘legitimate interests’ to hold this data as you have provided your data in order to access this service. Processing this data is in the legitimate interest of the ISC, the independent school sector, ISC associations and ISC schools. We keep your details in an active status until we are aware that you have left the school. If you decide that you no longer wish to access the Schools Together website you can email email@example.com or write to the Independent Schools Council, First Floor 27 Queen Anne’s Gate, London SW1H 9BU to have your details removed (except to the extent that we need to keep them in a suppression list to prevent us from emailing you in the future).
Your rights in relation to this data and how to contact us
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679) and the UK Data Protection Act 2018, you have certain rights associated with the use of your data.
If you believe that ISC has not complied with this privacy notice or has acted otherwise than in accordance with Data Protection Law, please send your concerns to firstname.lastname@example.org or the Independent Schools Council, First Floor 27 Queen Anne’s Gate, London SW1H 9BU. You can also make a referral to or lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
ISC stores and transfers all data securely and we are committed to ensuring that we only use data processors who are GDPR compliant.
