MAC review into EEA-workers in the UK labour market
In July 2017, the government commissioned the Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) to advise on the economic and social impacts of the UK’s exit from the European Union and how the UK’s immigration system should be aligned with a modern industrial strategy. The briefing note accompanying the call for evidence, states “education and health have large numbers of EEA workers but these are mostly higher-skilled”. ISC will be submitting a brief response to the call for evidence, which closes on 27 October, and invites schools to send comments to firstname.lastname@example.org.
MAC review into international students
The Home Secretary has commissioned MAC to carry out an assessment of the impact of international students in the UK. A call for evidence will be issued in due course and ISC is arranging to meet with MAC to contribute to the review.
