Tier 4 and Highly Trusted Status
ISC met with James Brokenshire MP, Secretary of State for Immigration, to discuss the sector's concerns over Tier 4 and Highly Trusted Status.
It is clear that it is not the Home Office's intention to target our sector and he recognises that our sector is low risk and issues a low number of CASs. The minister is keen to introduce a risk-based approach and agreed that should issues arise, and provided that the schools has taken reasonable steps to prevent repetition, it is likely that a licence is unlikely to be revoked.
Amendments to the guidance is expected in January 2015.
