National Minimum Wage and sleep-in workers

ISC associations are monitoring a Court of Appeal case considering whether employees who work sleep-in shifts should be entitled to the national minimum wage for the entirety of the shift, not just when they are awake and carrying out duties. The judgement should be delivered in the coming months and will likely be relevant to the sector, in particular boarding schools.
