More House School
Farnham, Surrey, GU10 3AP
School Information
More House School boasts over 70 years' experience in helping boys who may be bright, but are not thriving in mainstream schools due to specific learning difficulties.
All 390 boys who attend More House are individually timetabled with many receiving support through the on-site Learning Development Centre and through the curriculum which challenges each of their strengths while helping them to fulfil their academic potential. The school has been judged outstanding by Ofsted in all aspects of their inspection and it is CReSTeD listed in the Specialist Schools category.
In addition to the core subjects, a wide curriculum is offered with boys able to choose from 15 options for GCSE and 18 for A level. Results are very good with 80% achieving A*-C at GCSE. Class sizes are small and there is ample opportunity for boys to get involved in the school’s extensive arts and performance programme.
The school campus is on a wooded hillside and attractive modern facilities lie above the playing fields. In recent years, the school has built The Simkins Centre for Performing Arts, The Bradbury Music School, The Bradbury Heights Training Centre and The Sixth Form Centre with both residential and tutorial suites refurbished and all seven laboratories re-equipped.
