Founded originally in 1917, The Hammond is an independent coeducational boarding school for pupils aged 5-18+, specialising in the Lower School, in dance, drama, and music courses, and post-16, providing Trinity Diploma courses in professional dance and musical theatre. A BTEC course in drama commenced in September 2009. In recent years, The Hammond has undertaken an extensive and exciting building programme, one element of which has been a 400+ seat theatre.
