Clongowes Wood College was founded in 1814 as a Jesuit-run boarding school for boys from 12-18. It now has 446 boarders on its rolls, with up to 10% to be on full bursary support by 2014. It is situated on about 150 acres of land. A wide choice of subjects is available and pupils are prepared for the Irish Junior and Leaving Certificates, with a Transition Year programme following the JC.
