School Information

Worksop College is a leading HMC independent school in Nottinghamshire offering a modern education against a background of traditional values and a Christian ethos. Set in a beautiful 310 acre estate on the edge of Sherwood Forest, Worksop was opened in 1895 and has grown into an impressively equipped school for 400 girls and boys from 13 to 18 years old. The school is divided into eight houses many of which are located in the magnificent main building. Two of the girls’ houses are located separately within the grounds, one of which opened in 2007 having been built to the very highest standards, the other has recently been completely refurbished. We have purpose-built departments in Art, Music and Design Technology; our Sports Hall complements our two astroturf pitches and swimming pool as well as an eighteen-hole golf course. A new Modern Languages facility opened in September 2008. A full range of GCSE and AS/A2 subjects is taught with flexibility in the curriculum to deal with all abilities. Pastoral care is excellent and pupils receive detailed career advice.
