School Information

Normanhurst School is North Chingford’s only private independent school, with a real family atmosphere, where pupils of all abilities are encouraged to enjoy learning and to become academically successful. Older pupils are able to be role models for younger ones and all pupils have the opportunity to develop self-confidence and to exercise leadership. The nursery and early years are very popular with many children coming from the Chingford area. We offer a broad curriculum at all stages and excellent pastoral care. GCSE subjects are taught in small classes with good results, the excellent quality of teaching enabling each pupil to succeed and ensuring individual needs are met. Pupils move on after GCSE for further education at a variety of schools and former pupils have gone on to study at leading universities. Situated close to a main line station and a number of bus routes, we are easily accessible both by car and public transport.
