The over-riding purpose of CAL is to promulgate the collective vision and strategy for leadership training within the Independent Schools Sector.
To promote effective leadership training, making it available to all within the sector, and easily accessible via the leadership hub on the ISC website.
To retain the individuality that currently exists within each Association, whilst looking to benefit collectively from one another’s expertise.
To monitor and review the balance of leadership training provision and together with all Associations, to address any gaps by increasing the range of training available
To encourage effective succession management within schools by supporting the development of effective leadership skills through promotion of training opportunities in the independent sector.
To facilitate links with other providers of leadership training.
CAL reports to the Executive Committee of each Association.
