This report is based on a survey carried out in January 2012. All 1,221 schools in UK
membership of the constituent associations of ISC completed the survey. In addition,
two schools from the Republic of Ireland completed the survey and are included in our
tables where appropriate. All information relates to January 2012, except for expenditure
on buildings and equipment, which relates to the financial year ending at various dates
in 2011, and information on post-18 school leavers and entry to Higher Education, which
relates to entry in autumn 2011.
