ISC A-Level Results Tables

Every year ISC collects information about exam performance from member schools in the week following publication of results. Although ISC does not produce or endorse "school league tables" this information is used by the press to produce their independent school tables. After the original collection, many schools will update their results following re-marks and appeals. This information is incorporated into our tables, which are accordingly republished several times in the months after first publication. Historical tables from 2002-2005 can be viewed at www.bewick.org.

2006 FINAL table of A-Level results (Boys & Girls combined). 99.4% of all entries (102,282) received pass (A-E) grades, up from 99.3% in 2005 (national average 96.6%, up from 96.2% in 2005). 47.9% of entries (49,320) were awarded the top A grade, up from 46.0% in 2005 (national average 24.1%, up from 22.5% in 2005). 74.3% of entries (76,468) were graded A or B, up from 73.1% in 2005 (national average 48.1%, up from 46.0% in 2005).
