ISC Annual Census 2008

This report is based on a survey carried out in January 2008. All 1,271 UK schools in membership of the constituent associations of ISC completed the survey. All information is correct as of January 2008, except for expenditure on buildings and equipment, which relates to the financial year ending at various dates in 2007.

We have continued to use last year’s revised methodology for calculating average fees, which takes different fees for different age groups into account, giving a more accurate average. Average fees based on the old methodology, however, continue to be reported, in order to allow comparisons with data prior to 2007.
