The Migration Advisory Committee (MAC) is carrying out a consultation on the level of the first annual limit on economic migration.
On 28 June 2010, the government launched a consultation on how the limits on economic migration by nationals of countries outside the European Union, through Tiers 1 and 2 of the points-based system, should be implemented.

EYFS has been referred to Dame Clare Tickell for a full review. Whilst we have met with Dame Clare last week and urged her to take immediate action, her report is only due in 2011 and DfE is only proposing to implement its recommendations from September 2012. There are therefore no immediate changes on the horizon.
