October 2015 press coverage
School partnership work, boarding school affordability and Asian investors are highlights of ISC press coverage in October 2015.
Julie Robinson spoke at length about partnerships in a wide-ranging interview with the TES (8/10/15) and the valuable work being done by independent schools across the country was again mentioned after the Charity Commission updated its guidance on public benefit duty, as reported in Third Sector.
ISC spent an afternoon seeing first-hand the broad range of partnership work taking place at KCS Wimbledon and there are plans to visit more schools in the near future.
Other media coverage mentioning ISC included figures from a Telegraph piece on boarding school affordability, quotes from Barnaby Lenon in a Telegraph piece on students going to Oxbridge and a Times piece on independent schools being bought by Asian investors. The same quote appeared in the TES report on the same subject.
At the end of October the Times updated its online list of public examination results. These also now appear on the ISC website.
Very positive coverage of bursaries was achieved in the Sunday Telegraph after the journalist was directed towards Latymer Upper School, having first contacted ISC.
