The Childcare Bill is soon to receive Royal Assent.
Following this we expect to receive draft regulations for consultation, which will cover the practicalities of implementing the Government’s commitment to 30 hours free childcare for 3 and 4 year olds. In the meantime, the Government has issued a press release confirming that a number of counties will implement this from September 2016 in a pilot. It will be then be implemented nationwide in September 2017.
