Keeping Children Safe in Education - September 2015

Schools may have received an alert notifying them that KCSiE has been updated.

The sections that have been updated include the section covering the new Prevent duty. The additions reflect much of what is in the Prevent guidance and DfE advice already. The section on FGM has also been updated and a new mandatory reporting duty will be in force from 1st October 2015 (there is free Home Office online training on FGM which is available to all professionals). Additions have also been made on children missing education that emphasise current responsibilities.
