Mandatory Gender Pay Reporting

The Government has published draft regulations relating to mandatory gender pay reporting.

It is intended that the regulations will come into force on 1 October 2016, although employers will not need to take any action until 2017 when they must start collecting the data. These regulations will require schools with more than 250 employees (including zero hours employees) to annually publish data regarding the differences in pay between male and female employees, in a variety of formats. The Government has launched a consultation on the draft regulations. The consultation closes on 11 March 2016.
