ISC Manifesto
The ISC Manifesto was launched at our Annual Conference on 16th March, and we are also using it to brief education spokesmen and advisers from all the main parties.
It contains lots of positive messages about independent education, the most important of which is that independent schools do not represent an irrelevant, small and privileged minority. 14% of adults have attended one of our schools at some point, and our views should be heard.
One of our main concerns is regulation, and we go into some detail about necessary changes to safeguarding, inspections and Vetting and Barring. But the manifesto also covers other hot issues such as visas, charity law, exams and social mobility.
