Weekly or Flexible Boarding

An increasing number of schools now offer weekly or flexible boarding, with the option to stay within the school during the school week and return home at weekends. The principle guiding weekly or flexible boarding is convenience, maintaining academic standards while respecting the need for some parents to work during the week, or travel at short notice. Equally, many children appreciate the opportunity to see their friends during the week and family at the weekend – it could be thought of as a boarding school where children get an exeat (a weekend at home) every week (!).
