The Dresden Scholar's Scheme
If your child would like to spend up to a year at a British boarding school and attends a school in Saxony, you could apply for a scholarship through the Dresden Scholars' Scheme.
Twenty schools - seventeen in England, two in Scotland and one in Wales - are offering almost forty places at greatly reduced fees for boys and girls from schools in Dresden and elsewhere in Saxony. Most reduce their normal fees by 50% but some are discounted by as much as three-quarters. Dresden scholars can stay at some schools for a full year, at others for one or two terms.
The Scheme (originally launched under ISC's auspices in 2000) now operates under the auspices of The Dresden Trust and the British-German Association.
Full details of the schools and information about how to apply can be found on the British-German Association website - just click on the appropriate section of the home page.
