AEGIS Member Schools

Schools join AEGIS to be sure that their pupils are in the care of Guardianship Organisations which have:

• passed a full and detailed inspection of their business practises and their care of students 
• Are fully insured and comply with British law, social service and the national boarding standards requirements
• Maintain contact at all times with the overseas parent, the school, the child and will attend Parent Teacher meetings
• Have appropriate comprehensive guidelines on care, including emergency procedures for the child, the overseas parent, the guardianship family and the school
• Draw up adequate and appropriate contracts or agreements with the guardianship family and the overseas parent or educational institution
• Organise a home for a student with a British family. The family will have been carefully selected and have been visited and vetted in accordance with the law. The family will offer children the opportunity to speak English and learn about British culture and way of life
• Are run by professionals experienced in both childcare and education
