2010 ISC Annual Conference - Tuesday 16 March
Welcome to the website for the 2010 ISC Annual Conference, an event of special interest to Heads, Bursars and Governors from leading independent schools across the UK.

This high profile conference will take place on Tuesday 16 March 2010, at Inmarsat Conference Centre. Located in the heart of the City of London Inmarsaat is a unique, contemporary conference venue, just a few minutes' walk from Old Street, which is served by both rail and the underground.

Following on from the feedback and success of the 2009 Annual Conference, the 2010 conference will be a single day event, featuring prestigious speakers and expert panels, bringing to life issues around the importance of independence and choice in the current political climate. We also offer a ‘Question Time’ with senior education representatives from the political parties – a chance for delegates to put them on the spot.

With over 15 speakers, you can hear among others Lord Patten of Barnes, Chancellor, University of Oxford; James Westhead, former BBC Education correspondent, Director of Teach First, David Verey CBE, Former CEO and Chairman, Lazard Brothers & Co; and Camila Batmanghelidijh, Founder, The Kids Company all discussing major issues of vital importance to the independent sector.

As we face a General Election, and continue to provide world-class education to the pupils in our care, this year’s conference will be focusing on the key policy issues for the incoming government.  Dame Judith Mayhew Jonas, Chairman of ISC, will also launch an ISC election manifesto.
