This consultation sought views on the draft code of practice for local authorities through which the free early education entitlement for three- and four-year-olds will be implemented from September 2010. View ISC's response.

ISC was asked to respond into the Maurice Smith Review. The Review was ordered by Ed Balls to look at the prevention of racism in maintained schools, but the terms of reference were extended to encompass independent schools in December.

A major consultation to rewrite the NMS for boarding schools and residential special schools and to introduce additional requirements in the Independent School Standards and related regulations.
