Chris joined ISC in April 2008. He was educated at The Portsmouth Grammar School and at Jesus College, Oxford, where he read Modern History. During a first career of 35 years in the Royal Navy, he held a number of sea and operational commands, engaged extensively with academic institutions and made influential contributions to Central Government policy and strategy development. Responsible for planning and implementing several strategic change management programmes and major operations, he also headed several professional educational establishments, research bodies and operational centres of excellence. Regularly lecturing, broadcasting and writing on geo-strategic, historical and leadership themes, he is a Fellow of the Royal United Services Institute, a member of the Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.

Sarah was educated at James Allen's Girls' School and at The University of Liverpool. After graduating with a first class degree in Music, Sarah became Advertising Manager, Publisher and then Publishing Director at Newsquest Specialist Media, winning the UK's top Business Magazine publishing award (PPA Business Magazine Publisher of the Year). She joined ISC as Development Director in June 2005 and became Managing Director in March 2008.

Meritxell (Meri) joined ISC as receptionist in June 2007. Educated in Spain at the University of Barcelona, Meri graduated in June 2002 with BA in English, completing a portion of her studies at the University of Birmingham. Previously, Meri worked at the Institute of Historical Research, University of London.
Dr Robin Barlow

Robin taught at Bloxham School, Llandovery College and Rugby School, before becoming Head Master of Spratton Hall Preparatory School, a post he held for nine years. In 2005 he became a Regional Director of the Schools' Information Service, and will join the ISC information & advice service (ISCias) as Regional Advisor, Central in January 2008. His wife currently teaches in an independent senior boarding school.

Hannah joined ISC in October 2007 fresh from Leeds Metropolitan University, where she completed a degree in Events Management. With previous experience working for a number of events agencies, Hannah has been involved in the organisation of conferences, exhibitions and incentives nationally and internationally.

Matthew Burgess is a solicitor with over 15 years' experience in private practice and in-house. His last employer was Centrica where he was the Principal Legal Counsel advising the FTSE100 group on strategically significant transactions as well as legal and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining Centrica, Matthew worked with leading international law firm Linklaters in Singapore and London on large scale corporate, financial and projects work. He is a Fulbright Fellow and graduated from Queens' College, Cambridge with a first class law degree.

Liam joined ISC as Information Officer in November 2007 after working as an Internal Communications Assistant at Cambridgeshire police. He was educated at King's College, Taunton and Brunel University, graduating in June 2007 with a degree in English. As part of ISCias (ISC information & advice service) he deals with national and international enquiries from both parents and schools.

Alexandra joined ISC in November 2006. She was educated at Clifton High School, Bristol and at the University of Edinburgh, graduating in 1999 with a Masters degree in Politics. She then completed the postgraduate NCTJ qualification at Lambeth College, London. Alexandra has worked in the field of media relations for six years, namely for Sky News and two international corporate law firms.
Rowland Constantine

Rowland was educated at Firth Park Grammar School, Sheffield before reading Modern Languages at Magdalene College, Cambridge. After teaching French and Spanish at The Leys, Cambridge, he moved to St Olave's Grammar School, Orpington, before becoming Headmaster of The New Beacon in Sevenoaks in 1976. Previously chairman of IAPS, Rowland joined ISC as Regional Advisor, South East in January 2008. He is married to Sally, a relationship counsellor and psychotherapist, and has three children.

Andy is an award-winning journalist, editor and publisher working on titles in construction, financial services and manufacturing sectors. Immediately prior to joining ISC in September 2007, Andy was a digital strategy director with one of Britain's largest publishing groups. He is married to a primary school teacher and has two daughters one of whom was educated an independent girls school.

Hayley joined ISC in July 2007. Originally from Bristol, Hayley studied Journalism at Cardiff University and graduated in 2003. Since then she has worked as a freelance writer and gained substantial education PR experience working for two further education colleges. Hayley is responsible for compiling the ISC Daily News Summary.

Corinna joined ISC in April 2007 as a researcher. Corinna has a BSc in Philosophy and a MSc in History and Philosophy of Science from the London School of Economics. She also studied at King's College London for her PhD in Logic, graduating in 2006.
Judith Fenn

Responsible to the ISC Teacher Induction Panel for the induction of NQTs, Judith has a wide brief including teacher recruitment, the graduate teaching programme, and issues relating to data protection and the rights of the child. Judith was educated at Robinson College, Cambridge and taught in the independent sector for 14 years. Prior to joining ISC in July 2005, she was Deputy Head at Godolphin and Latymer School in West London.
Mark Filler CBE

Mark was educated at St John's School, Leatherhead and Loughborough University. He was commissioned into the Army from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in 1977 and served in the UK and overseas in a variety of units and posts culminating in his appointment as Director of Education and Training Services. He was appointed a CBE in the 2006 New Year's Honours List. In 2005 he became a Regional Director of the Schools' Information Service, and will join the ISC information & advice service (ISCias) as Regional Advisor, East in January 2008. His three children were boarders at an independent school in Wiltshire.

Morwenna joined the ISC information & advice service (ISCias) as Regional Advisor, South & West in September 2007. Educated at the Park School and High School in Yeovil, she continued her studies at Lyon University and the Institut Francais, London. She developed a pr/marketing career in London and Southern Africa and during twelve years in Hong Kong, set up her own company with two specialist children's bookshops and eighteen school bookshops. After returning to the UK, she joined ISCis South & West in August 2004. Her two children were educated independently at schools in the region.

Adele joined ISC in January 2007 as an SQL and ASP.net developer. She is responsible for designing databases and websites for ISC. Adele graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2003 and holds a first class degree in computer science.

Holly was educated at St Paul's Girls' School and the University of St Andrews. After completing a Masters in Philosophy in May 2006, Holly went straight into two months of acting at the Prague and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals. From September to December she coordinated the sound contemporary music festival in Aberdeenshire before returning to London and joining ISC as Research Administrator in September 2007.

Rachel joined the ISC information & advice service (ISCias) as Regional Advisor, North in September 2007. She was educated at Oldham Hulme Grammar School and at Worcester College, Oxford where she held both academic and choral scholarships. Having worked in educational marketing for Oxford University Press and RMplc, she established the marketing functions at Leighton Park School in Reading and Gateways School in Leeds. Rachel is a Chartered Marketer and a former Chairman of The Association for Marketing and Development in Independent Schools.

Laura joined ISC as Office Manager in August 2006, and was promoted to Information Officer in May 2007 and Senior Information Officer in September 2007. She deals with enquiries from UK and international schools, parents and students. She was educated at James Allen's Girls' School and The University of Manchester, graduating in June 2006 with first class honours degree in Economics & Social Studies, specialising in Politics & Social Policy. In her final year, she was awarded the Rogers Prize for work of distinction in Social Policy.

Pru joined ISC in August 2007. She was educated at Shrewsbury High School and at Durham University, graduating with a 1st class honours degree in Economics. She has a background in academic research as an Economist at the Bank of England and in commercial research as a Business Development Manager at the John Lewis Partnership. Before joining the ISC she completed a PGCE in Economics and Business Education at the Institute of Education.

Charlie joined ISC in October 2006 as Sales Executive. She has a central role in the ISC events team, with responsibility for building commercial relationships and coordinating sponsors, exhibitors and advertisers. Charlie studied at the University of East Anglia, graduating in June 2006 with a joint honours degree in Philosophy and Politics.
Sarah McKimm

Sarah read Law at Oxford and qualified as a solicitor in 1989. In the 90s, she trained as a commercial litigator in a major City law firm where she worked on a wide range of top level cases for banking, insurance and commercial clients. Subsequently, Sarah took a change of direction and studied for a Masters degree at King's College, London in law relating to children which led to her setting up her own law practice as an Education Law specialist. Sarah is a member of her local authority's Independent Appeal Panel for exclusions and also (formerly) its Community Panel for sentencing young offenders. She is also a school governor.

Sara Orozco was born in Mexico and moved to England in 2003. She has a BA Honours degree in International Management from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge. Whilst studying she was involved in several field marketing projects and promotions for a variety of high profile brands, this involved implementing creative and effective ideas and solutions to drive and increase product sales in-store and at exhibitions and events. The brands she worked on included Toshiba, Lacoste, Dolce & Gabbana and Abbey Bank. She joined ISC in April 2008.
Hetty Palmer

Hetty was educated at St Mary's School, Calne and then went on to gain a degree in Philosophy at Durham University. After Durham she completed a Diploma in Fine and Decorative Art at Christie's Education and went on to work for Mallett Antiques, dealing in fine art and furniture. Hetty later qualified as a teacher, completing a PGCE at Kingston University. She worked as a class teacher for a number of years before joining the ISC information & advice service (ISCias) as Regional Advisor, London in January 2008.

Buffy joined ISC in September 2007 to work as PA to Jonathan Shephard and Dame Judith Mayhew Jonas. Prior to this she worked in sales at Moët Hennessy. Buffy studied French at Leeds University, graduating in 2004, during which time she also spent a year abroad working for Air France in Paris.

Wendy joined ISC in July 2005 and manages the administration of ISC's recruitment and induction programmes. Prior to joining ISC, she was responsible, with one other person, for the administration of 150 business conferences annually. She is currently studying for a degree with the Open University.

Carl joined ISC in June 2007. A qualified barrister, he is working on public benefit developments in charity law - analysing both the case law and information from schools. He graduated from Cambridge in 2004 with a first class degree in history.
Hannah Trussell

Hannah joined ISC as Office Administrator, and after a brief spell as Research Assistant worked full time as Jonathan Shephard's Executive Assistant, before becoming company Operations Manager and later, Head of Operations. She now manages the operations of the ISC information & advice service (ISCias) and other major company-wide projects. Previously, Hannah worked at a corporate motor sport events company as an event coordinator. She has a degree in English and American Literature from the University of Kent.

Alex joined ISC in 2001 to run the information desk. In 2003 he was promoted to the role of Office Manager and in 2005 became Events Manager, running the annual conferences and SEN conferences. Alex was educated at Bishop Challoner School and Bromley College.

Vicki joined ISC in December 2007. She graduated from the University of East Anglia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. As part of the new sales team, her role involves the development of existing commercial relationships and the establishment of new ones. Working closely with the events team, she provides support to the sales manager to ensure the expansion of the ISC's commercial arm.
